Our plans for Bar Harbor changed before we ever left the dock when the morning ferry was canceled. We headed to Jonesport instead, but limited access to the working waterfront led us to the Seaduck Nature Preserve on Beals Island. The unexpected detour rewarded us with a beautiful coastal hike, lunch at Jonesport Pizza, fresh lobsters for dinner, and an entertaining low-tide kayak launch back at Marsh Road.
