Notes Far Afield
Observed in place. Understood over time.

This begins with time away, travel and photographs—taken in the moment. Often without much thought beyond seeing.
The work happens later, going back through those images and paying attention to what they spark. Some become writing, others turn into drawings, paintings, or something less expected.
It started as a technical reset—rebuilding and reorganizing years of images. That process turned into something more: going back through more than I could easily hold onto and making sense of what was there.
It’s become a way to share that process, whatever form it takes.

This section is part of an ongoing set of notes built through observation and distance.
It holds travel journals, field notes, and images—collected in the moment and understood later.
Entries move across places and time, shifting from what was seen to what it meant.
The structure is here. The work fills it in.
